I was never big on the P bass sound, always liked the growl and mid-range that I get from the bridge pickup. Also got rid of the Active Electronics.I really dig the Aguilar MM pup but, out of curiosity, why did you do away with the p pu?

+1 on the MM. I love the growl from my EMG s. You still got plenty of real estate there.I was never big on the P bass sound, always liked the growl and mid-range that I get from the bridge pickup. Also got rid of the Active Electronics.

Thanks. I gotta return kudos to you and your Rickenbacher assault squad. Always been a fan of those machines and yes, I will be the proud owner of one some future day.
Chromes, huh. I'll have to keep that in mind. The 160s sound great. The jury is still out on the feel. I took advantage of the sale at SWater and ordered some string sets, one is a set of Black Beauties for this bass. I'm hoping they sound good, play well and make the bass look cool.

Bet you all do not know the maker of this bass....,ready? It's a Traben. I did remove the chrome flamework because it was part of the bridge which I replaced because it was not grooved to hold the bridge runners inplace.Forgot to post this one cause I had a brain fart as to where I stored it...LOLView attachment 3549406
