yes that's it!! It really plays beautifully, and while it doesn't sound exactly like an upright (nothing does) it does have a beautiful acoustic tone and mwah for days. It came beautifully set up from the factory and has a very thin and fast neck. It is also extremely light; like 5 pounds or less. We are still getting to know each other but I would highly recommend this bass!!

Sold that Marcus Miller MIJ bass I got the other day at a handsome profit. Sold another bass and got this today. Fender Ultra precision. Love the maple board and the neck is so comfortable. Sam Ash matched the price that they had for the same model on eBay, so I had to pull the trigger.

Got this 2 days ago, Sandberg Forty Eight. Wish I could have been there, when they did the aging thing, there are a few details I don't like about it, it's a bit off from my natural playing position. If I place my hand where the wear is, it is spot on.

That is an awesome corral!! How do you like your PF 500/800? I have the pf 500 and put it through a pf 115 LF cabinet (ported). I really love mine, it has such a sweet and clearly defined sound. I haven't really settled on the setting of my mid freq switch yet. I am alternating between boosting 2 or 3, depending on the bass I am using.

That is an awesome corral!! How do you like your PF 500/800? I have the pf 500 and put it through a pf 115 LF cabinet (ported). I really love mine, it has such a sweet and clearly defined sound. I haven't really settled on the setting of my mid freq switch yet. I am alternating between boosting 2 or 3, depending on the bass I am using.

Love it! It's been more than enough amp even playing with a big band with no sound reinforcement. I can run the master to about 2-3 o'clock depending on tone settings before the cab starts to distort. The 500 and 800 would need two cabs to run any higher. A 2-10 and 1-15 would be a great combination.

My controls generally look like this with any of the basses. Ultra low is ON. Adjust bass and treble a little depending on the room.

Mine are really similar, except my midrange is at about 3 o'clock. I have been favoring the 3rd setting. All my basses are fretless and I feel this midrange boost gives me the best sound. I do not have either ultra on, although I am playing in a small bedroom...I haven't gigged with mine yet.

The Carvin fretless needs a little mid-treble boost, too. It's an active bass, so I do that with the tone controls on the bass.

'09 Dean Edge (red) and a Peavey Millenium (not sure of age). Just got the Dean. It was a warehouse find. It sounds great. I put flatwounds on it, but will probably switch it back to roundwounds. It's got a nice growl and thump to it compared to the Peavey, which has that J bass sound.
