My latest. Always wanted a Stingray since I saw John Deacon with one, when I was a kid. The problem was I hated the way they styled the 5 string with that big ugly pickguard. The oval was what made the look, for me anyway. Actually got some money from a long lost relative's estate, out of the blue. Used it for this.........

Same here.
I’ve never liked that fricken pickguard and that’s probably the reason I never cared for the fiver.

This thing has me smitten. Weighed it last night- a hair under 8 pounds. It’s getting some D’Addario Custom Light ProSteels tomorrow and I’ll eventually install an EMG Geezer pickup. Until then I’m still loving it.

Good for you, I put a Geezer P pup in a p bass build and it's a great one.I think you'll agree.And it's an EZ install.
