Yes it is. I'm 99% sure this was a Global guitar from the 70's much like the one here. Global Jazz Bass Copy ST85BS 1970s Sunburst | Pilchuck Gear Barn | Reverb
I'm pretty sure it had a natural finish as there wasn't any paint under the original bridge. The code on the back of the neck plate is ST85B.

Funny that you mention it. I guy I'm FB friends with in France liked it so much he built one almost just like it, sans guard. Turned out good as best I can tell. Mine plays magically, cant speak to his but here is a picture of his clone.

Here's my latest, greatest and most expensive one to date. A MIJ Fender jazz in silver/black paisley. Ive been wanting this since the first time I saw it online, but it was always sold out, as only 100 of em made it to the european market. A month or two ago I was checking my local shops website, and they suddenly had one in stock. I figured it was meant to be, as I live in a pretty small town, and it was the only one availible anywhere. I bought it then and there, and I love it to pieces. Anywhere, here she is:

I've got a mirror and a clear pickguard on the way, and I'm excited to see how it'll look with those

Here's another recent aquisition. A fender pawn shop reverse jaguar bass. I got it very cheap, but I absolutely love it. Very good condition, as the previous (and only other) owner used it as a backup bass. The sound you get from the buckers is amazing, and the 3way toggle making it so easy to swap sounds in a split second. It can be a bit tricky to play past the 12th fret, but for classic rock, country etc it's the perfect fit. It's a little neck heavy, but it's not really an issue yet. The reverse headstock gives plenty tension on the E-string, even though it's a shortscale. Anyway, heres it is:

The Squier has gone through cosmetic surgery (Tort, ashtray and cover, and flats). Still finishing work to do to the sparkly fretless. The Thunderbird is still in it's original state, but I'm not decided yet if I tune it BEAD or if I instead add an Hipshot Xtender....
