The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Out of all of my basses, these are the only two that I really need.

Got my PRS Kingfisher a couple of weeks ago.

Swapped out the pickups for Nordstrand Big Splits (waiting for them to ship) and I'm not a fan of the stock strings it came with, so I'm thinking of swapping them for some DR Black Beauties.

Other than that, I'm in love with the color, neck, and the hipshot bridge/tuners.

I love my PRS. I went with Seymour Duncan SSB-4s and I added a Bartolini preamp. Now she is a BEAST!

I really wish I had your headstock. I added the Namaste truss rod cover.

I have come to realize this thread is the main influence on my GAS lol . Purple , need purple ...
I'm waiting on yellow. Some of my rainbow will be made by guitars but I'm a buttercream P and pink SG away from the guitar rainbow!:smug:

GAS is eternal. Resistance is futile. Your wallet and bank account will be assimilated into our own. You will be one with the bass.

When I sell the Jazz Bass - this will be all I have. The small cabinet is a cabinet I made and the rack is empty.

My MM Caprice and my 71 P bass with the newly acquired 2014 MM/MB BH-500 with a 1977 Musicman 115RH cabinet (refinished by Mojo Tone)

They do have each other I suppose, but they look kinda lonely...

At this point in my life - 2 is ok. The 71 is my first and my son will get it when I am gone and all the time I play the Caprice. So not much time for any love for others.

Over the last 20 years I have probably had and tried some 300 basses. As I mentioned above I started with the P and through all those basses I end up with a passive Leo product. The Caprice is the first "not P" that I really like.

Man I could have saved some money knowing this then.

But I am really satisfied with these 2 and my 1 amp now. And since I do not play out - you can not beat the Musicman 115rh cabinet IMO.

Those are some nice ones you have, I get it man. I'd love to try out a Caprice sometime, and that rig looks sweet too. Cheers friend!

I tell ya - I hope you can try one out. To me it feels like I have been playing it forever, it just fits so well. And the back pickup does not hum when you turn it down like a Jazz.

Guitar rainbows are rare events in life , one must take the time to appreciate .
