View attachment 4515194Does everybody have their Bass Banjo trimmed yet? A couple Birdsongs make it festive! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO Y'ALL!
It's homebrew. Not by me, nor the person I bought it from. It is a bass drum with a 34" neck. Has a great, standup sound, not banjo-y at all, really. I believe at one time, someone manufactures bass banjos in some form... Gibson, I think, at least... but nobody today, though a Google search will bring up many diverse homebrew versions. It is a lotta fun to play... I have played it with my jazz combo students at school, and at church for acoustic or bluegrassy sets. Strung with flats, sounds nice acoustic but has a magnetic pickup. Toying with the idea of getting a pickup like a standup would use. Gotta be careful with it... it can be a feedback machine...Merry Christmas! Tell me more about this bass, is it custom? Looks like made for a bass drum?
Cheers!
That beautifully uninterrupted red sparkle totally delights my senses; -I love looking at it and want to go swimming in it!I’m behind on posting basses here’s my most recent addition:

Managed to snag some pictures the other week. I always wanted to take my bass out into the snow to grab some photos and I think at least some of them turned out great.
Its a spector euro 4 LT.
