What's that 4002 like? I never see anything on them here. Usually it's 4001s and 4003s with the occasional 3001, 4000, and 4004.

It's amazingly flexible. The body is stunning because of the birdseye maple used and the checkered binding is a really nice touch. The pickups have such a wide, dynamic range that I am constantly surprised. I think it's slightly heavier than the 4001 models that I have owned because of the birdseye maple but if it is, it's not that noticeable as its still comfortable as heck to play.
All in all, I highly recommend it. Anything else you'd like to know?
Actually, I've had them long enough that they didn't cost anywhere near as much as they do now. BTW, the MK1 used to be owned by Howie Epstein who played with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan so it's got some great mojo and history.
I'm lucky, I have a wife who is very supportive of my bass addiction. She doesn't mind me bringing in a new one every couple of years.

The Trussart is great, both from a sound & playability perspective. The only thing I'd suggest to James would be to put something a little less sharp around the pickups. Because I have to change my playing style when I'm using it. If you're really digging into the strings and hitting them hard, your fingers can get get quite sore and abraised from bouncing off of the "pickguard" underneath because of all of the cuts/holes there.
Still, not too hard to adjust... Particularly after I've forgetten for a song or two...
Yup, the red Jazz, I gassed pretty hard for one of them when I was wanting a good Jazz.
hell yes! nice going. your colLection is a mix of stuff i have tried just once, a long time ago (Rick, Wal) and stuff I'd like to try in then future (Sadowsky, Rumblefish, Warmoth, erm, whatever the hell the metal one is!)
...anyway, well played that man.
