a big 'ole AMEN to that. Which brings me to my current dilemma... I've already got a bass on order in this upcoming batch... and I just talked to Pete today about adding a second bass order to this batch.. if I can just find the money...

If only it was a 6 string fretless with poplar body and ebony board...then I would.

Thing is, your "perfect customer" will be someone who does not have one of the latest models, especially in a pretty similar config, already in their stable.
Once his work is better known, it'll be easier to move that bass, but right now, there's still a lot of folks out there who don't know the magic. Also, your rapid turnaround on that bass probably concerns a few folks, and while I know you have good reason, to be very honest, it did look kinda' bad when you put it up for sale before you even rec'd it. That'd be a red flag for most folks who don't "know better" about Skjold basses, which is still most people out there.
Don't worry tho, with all our ravings, we'll help you out here somehow.
I went through a dozen or so basses in the past few months. Its not because any one of them was an inferior product, but simply wasn't "the" bass for me, and nothing more. I've always loved the way MTDs played and sound, and now that I've finally got a hold of one that plays and sounds so damn good, I need to get of the game. If the Skjold sells, great. My wife will be happy. If it doesn't, I'm not complaining one bit....

I've almost gotten my hands on two Skjolds. The first was a single cut that was up for trade and the owner back out. The second was yours, I was a couple bucks short when you had it priced at $2000 until 8:30 est 1/28/2007.
