Hi Tom and Vic and to the rest of the family. I just ordered my first Skjold 5. I looked at Vic's pics, and ordered the same bass, and Pete recommended a beautiful top, and now I just have to wait. Tom, this is Virgil, we met at NAMM at the Bass Bash. I have all of your threads, and spoken to and heard David Dyson play his signature 5, and I am really excited about having my own. I can't wait to officially join the family. Virgil Walker

It's a literal Skjold purchase-fest around here:D

I too modeled the 5 string I have on order after Vic's... only difference is a maple board and different top wood.

We will have to keep in touch during the wait!

Also, if'n you guys are interested, the next issue of Bass Guitar will feature Vic's PSD5, and that walnut topped Custom 5, too. :smug:

I guess I better get used to having my Skjold around. It is so much fun to play, and it really sounds great. I am really starting to fall in love with the aesthetics as well, with the exception of the the headstock shape...;)

I'm going to buy Matt Morgan's striking zebrawood exotic custom that was just totally redone by Pete. I won't have it for a while as I'm making payments on it while moving stuff I have now, but I should have it well before this summer.

Pete gave me some excellent advice as to which instrument to buy for both playing style and venue...which pretty much made my decision.

Xgabriel - you have a beautiful instrument as well - like I said in your thread, it would now be mine had your "48 hour sale" happened one week earlier.
