oh and TB film-using buffs - please advise. my GF (who is a champion) has bought me an Olypus OM-10, sight unseen. as far as i can make out it's an exposure-priority preset film SRL.

i'm really looking forward to getting to grips with the bad boy, anyone used one?? thx.

Chingas,

This months issue of Popular Photography magazine lays out the lighting and setup for a portrait shoot of a boxer. The photographer talks all about capturing the rights shadows on the muscles and whatnot. It might be worth checking out just for another perspective if you are going to be doing more of these types of shots.

classic camera! Great piece of gear (if everything still works), can't go wrong with it.

^he didn't copy/paste a head in PS. It's two different people in the picture.

When I'm smoothing edges of a pasted item I typically magnify the area 200% and use a combo of clone, smudge and dodge/burn. Then go back and forth between 50 and 200% fixin and checking until it looks totally natural at 50%. That's my method. I totally did my wife's hair in GIMP for one of our Christmas card photos this year. :P

Brad's right - that's my wife and daughter in the pic. There is a bit of PS just darkening the area under my daughter's neck ( to hide the neckline and t-shirt). It's actually a bit of a photoshop hackjob....

Thanks! I chose them from a pile she brought with her - as soon as I saw the shirt I grabbed my daughter's scarf because I knew they'd work together.
