Sign me up.. But I've pretty much grown to hate my 87' Thumb (NT)

The reasons why I want to get rid of it:

I cant play it while standing, because of neck-diving.
I cant play it while sitting, because this part is too short:

I'm not really getting the sound out of it that I'm looking for,
but its not really that bad. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 soundwise.

The reasons that make me want to keep it:

While its hard to play in any position, its still the most comfortable bass I've ever played (neck-wise)
I may grow to like it afterwards and I'm pretty sure I wont find a model this old again

I also have a Thumb NT, and I agree about eveything you said, especialy it being awkward to play standing up. But I find if you shift the bass around more to your left (so the bottom of the body is more in front of your unmentionables) and stick your left leg out slightly, so your body is slightly at and angle, I find this reduces the neck dive.

But I'd keep yours, at least for a few more years. I find early Warwicks are more and more being sought after. I myself made sure I bagged my thumb that was made before they made the switch to the ovangkol necks and "plastic" Wilferite nuts.

my short scale 30" Thumb balences perfectly, sounds fantastic, is fairly light, and the neck is the most comfortable I have ever played. I guess the neck dive is eliminated because of the shorter neck.....anyway I love it.

I love both of my Warwicks, my old dolphin pro II has a smooth thin neck and can really hit a wide range of tones with the dual barts on it. My vette $$ (which i've noticed doesnt have a whole lot of fans) has been my bass of choice as of late. After fixing the set up guitar center let it get out of the shop with, it feels gorgeous. I cant get a better chunky funk sound with anything over the $$. The neck thickness took a couple weeks to really start to get comfortable, but now I dont ever want to part with it.

So my bands trailer was broken into in July and we lost everything. They got my Dolphin pro II my ampeg 8x10 and svt 4 pro, my john myung sig 6 as well as about $10k worth or p.a. equipment. In september I found my dolphin being sold on ebay (for whatever reason I hadnt seen any others with the dual barts so I checked it out) turns out he bought it from a pawn shop in my home town. After 5 months of litigation (since the custom neck had no serial #) and detectives questions I had my final day in court and as of about a week ago I have my dolphin back. I guess it pays to own a uniue bass.

This is a great thread... There are a lot of amazing 'wicks shown here!

Here is my collection:

Going around the circle, there's an Infinity 5 string fretless, Thumb Dirty Blonde, Corvette FNA Jazzman, custom Corvette 6 fretless, and a currently stringless custom Corvette 4.

Have any of you checked out the 2007 LTD edition currently posted on Warwick's site (http://www.warwick.de)? If so, what are your thoughts? Personally, I'm not a big fan of it, but they've got a Corvette $$ neck-through which looks really sweet!
