hey noisevayne....where did you get the mini thumb?

I work in a store that used to be a Warwick dealer. About three years, Dana B. Goods (the U.S. distributor for Warwick) sent many of its dealers these mini basses for free. I abused my managerial power and "assumed" the promotional item for myself. It's pretty sweet; you can actually play it...kinda'.:bassist:

:eek:THIS JUST IN!

We are now official!:hyper: From now on, in order to join you must click on "MY TALKBASS" in the top left corner of the screen. From there, click on "GROUP MEMBERSHIPS" under the "MISCELLANEOUS" column. This is where you will need to submit a request for membership From there, I can either approve or deny you:smug:. As for all of the current members, I'll still need you to submit a request this way so we're all listed in the Wick club section of the site. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, or trouble submitting your request. Thanks a bunch!;)

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you all know that I saw Fishbone live this saturday night and they were AWESOME! Norwood was switching between an Corvette FNA Jazzman, and an Infinity LTD, both 5-strings. He was using two Ampeg SVT-CL/SVT-810E stacks, and his tone was monstrous! Just thought I'd share......;)

I have tried almost everything Warwick currently produces and none of them sound even close to my 1997 Fortress Masterman. Is it the Maple body? The wenge neck? I have no clue, but it is funky.:bassist:

Also, the new Rockbass Streamer Standard is a great inexpensive bass for slap. I saw a new one recently near Toronto for about $350USD.

hey guys.. just wondering which warwick people prefer for slap... tone wise...

I'd LOVE to have been there. Fishbone rocks! But I didn't know they were still playing. Who's still in the band? (original)

Here's my Warwick stuff. I don't have that head anymore but I really like the sound of these cabinets. I use an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro with them. The model numbers of the cabinets are Warwick 410 pro and Warwick 115 pro, I think. I want the 610 pro and I'm done.

Bubinga-bodied 'Wicks give me the slap tone that I like. My Thumb NT gives a great, round bottom slap without being at all muddy. But it stays naturally crisp-sounding. My Corvette Standard active gives a similar tone, but it has a little more mids, which is great for my plucking and tapping styles. Though the bottom end lacks a bit on the 'Vette, it is a tad more comfortable to slap on than my Thumb NT. My $$ just sounds completely different. It almost sounds like a Spector on meth amphetamines. It's bright, but wants to play fast.

We were right in the front row! The only originals left are Norwood and Angelo. They were still awesome though man, we had a great time! They have an album coming out next month. They played a song called "Jackass", which was a tribute to Bush, it was hilarious!
