One question. I thought it came with Chrome Hardware?
you can get warwicks with whatever color hardware you want...most manufacturers have that as an option...warwick is no exception...then again, he could've switched it after the fact

My Fortress and Vette
I just had the Fortress refretted and a neck fixed up... Plays better than the day I bought it.

i don't know if they are no more. i figured they were just taking a break while maynard does the tool thing for awhile.
nope, from what understand, emotive was just something they threw out to finish up the contract

I need some help from you Warwick owners.
Presently I play a Fender Am/Se Jazz Bass through an Eden NC210 combo/Fender Rt-1000 rack tuner/Tech 21 SansAmp RBI rack pre-amp.
I have a great sound, needless to say.
A very good friend, who lives a good distance away, called and asked me if I wanted to buy his Warwick Corvette Standard - burgundy red, black hardware, all passive. He said I could have it and the case for $700,including shipping it to my house. His wife bought it for him as a Christmas present. He's selling because the neck is "too big" - sticking with his Fender Aerodyne JB! He knew that I was also looking at one a month or so ago, as we talk frequently.
I've played one, though not through my amp. I can do the neck, though it does feel bigeer than the JB.
What can I expect soundwise - better, equal too a JB?

This is my first Post. I've always wanted to learn how to play the bass guitar. However, as a teen, my mom really could not afford to buy me one. Once I became a young adult, I always loved the bass line in the music I listened to, but other interest came first.
Now that I'm older, settled down, married with children I'm finally looking at learning how to play. At 46, I hope that it's not to late.
This is my first Bass.
I hope that club membership is not bass-ed on skill!

Not the Corvette Pro that I played . . . lighter than my Fender Am/Se Jazz Bass.
i would love to have a Warwick...body's are very cool...and the sound as well. But why can't warwick make a more comfortable neck, these things are unreasonably to large from front to back...i feel like i'm holding a baseball bat instead of a musical instrument. Is there a reason for this? If they would just shave some wood from the neck and contour it i would buy one in a second. Any other players agree with me?
