The Vampyre BO "Dark Lord" is a 35-inch, extra-long scale bass that is tuned, from low to high, F#, B, E and A!...etc...

I wonder why haven't they gone just two semitones lower. Somewhat, erm... lowered standard tuning would make space for two bassists to rule the world together. If I'll ever get a Darklord it'll get instantly detuned.

Man, that thing looks HOT, but I've got too many LTDs as it is. But on another note, I just got a look at the new NT $$s, those look freakin HOT! The bubinga one looks freakin BAD ASZ! I may be adding one to the stable, now how to convince the wife that I need it......

I read it in a thread where someone is trading his FNA Jazzman for a Thumb BO. Cause he didn't find it suitable for rock.

Well, a Thumb bass will most certainly KILL in a rock setting, but you can't really go wrong with either. Try a $$, it's very versitle and the thick sound of the humbuckers would be great for rock too.
