My brand new baby, born January 2007. Nice to own something new for a change!

Strings aren't very nice (warwicks), but so far so good. Still surprised how well it slaps, and loves to be played hard. I don't have a pick, but I've got a feeling it would sound badass for metal.

Didn't ask for gold hardware, but there it is! It's got a FNA Jazzman '+' look to it. That ovangkol neck is gorgeous to look and feel. I'm surprised Ovangkol gets so much flak, it's a beautiful wood.

Saw your pix on the Warwick forum. Again, very nice :D

Playability is great. It's 1/2 way between my Ibanez and my Thumb. Ibanez is slim, fast and light, the Thumb is heavy and chunky, the $$ is more towards the Ibby, but still not as slim, but definitely nothing like the Thumb. The sound options are pretty big, although I must say, there aren't that much variation between the settings (disregarding the preamp). The strings need some bedding in, they are still too bright and zingy. It slaps very well, and can get a burpy tone when you dig in. I wish it had more variations between the pickup settings though. I wonder how it would sound with the bridge pickup closer to the bridge. That can be a custom option.

hey birdxofxprey- that is one sexy Corvette. Is that really a cherryburst type finish on it, or is it just the way the sunlight's shining on it that looks that way.

Either way, sexy bass and sweet photography.

(and a free bump for the 'wick club thread. Pics of 'wics are like porn to me. More action shots of me and my 'Vette: Link Removed )

I've got myself two warwicks, my only bass's. My main one is a passive 4 string standard streamer with the black wood finish. The other one is a custom fretless 4 string streamer with LED lights on the top of the neck. I found it used at a guitar center (someone traded it in!) I don't have pictures as I don't have a camera, but I'm gonna try and borrow one sometime soon so I can post pictures.

it's just the light, but i wax it regularly and the bubinga gets a transparant look to it after a while. ovankol does the same thing, but even more. it's like looking into the bass instead of looking at it.

Warwick woods have special powers...

thanks, it is a beautiful corvette, and it plays great. i tried to sell it, but that only lasted for a few days - gotta keep it...
