I picked up a very nice, almost pristine used Corvette $$ double buck 5-string this week at GC for $899. It is great.

It is a little thicker than my two Pedulla 4 strings (one fretted one fretless) but I have been hashing at it for a few days and it is really coming under my thumbs and fingers!

I finally got called to play a show touring through town that has a lot of low-B-bombs in the book so I went for it.

Here's a thumb of my 3-year old daughter taking a turn...pretty good right hand technique, eh?

Steve

Here is my Warwick Streamer Stage I 5'er. I apologize for the not-so-great pic. But I will try again later.

It needs a little bit of work. It suffers from the apparently common Just-A-Nut II ailment of the side tabs being broken. Should be getting a replacement (model III) soon and then a trip to the luthier. Looking forward to getting her all fixed up because it sounds fantastic!

Add me to the club please! :D

90s Warwick Fortress One 5-string. I love this bass to death. I modded it to include Bartolini pickups and preamp. Also replaced the stock knobs with maple ones.

Shoewreck, thanks! But I really do hope to take some better pics after I get the nut repaired. It's a real looker and the sound is indeed impressive. What really clinched it for me was the spacing. I had tried a few Warwicks before and the narrow spacing put me off. This one just feels good!

Very happy to officially be....
