Man, I remember when you were selling that beauty! I would have been all over it if you were on this side of the pond!

On another note, there are a lot of people posting up their beautiful Wicks but not PMing me for membership numbers. Please everyone, PM ME FOR MEMBERSHIP! We're so close to 50 members, I can almost taste it!:D

Hey Warwick lovers, is it possible to get say a Thumb bass(neck through the body) bass with a birdseye maple fingerboard? If so how would I go about it, and how much do you think it would cost. I got excited when I saw the Bleached Blondes, but was disapointed when I found out that they were bolt-ons.What I'm looking for is a four string neck through the body bass with a birdseye maple fingerboard, I'm up in the air about the pickups, the MECs sound good, so do MM pus, Bartolini soap bar, EMGs, or just J style pus, also I like the active electronics too So how about A little help! The only thing so far that I can find that I can afford is a Carvin! Do they suck? I'm playing a Fender Jazz Bass Plus right now, with lace sensor pus with active EQ, with a maple neck and fingerboard of course! I'm thinking anything, but a neck through is going to be the same as what I've always played, Hagstrom II(my first), Gibson EB3, 65' Fender Jazz, MM Stingray, 66' Fender Telecaster and now the Fender Jazz Bass Plus

Warwick has a custom shop with examples on the website, I like to spend some bass porn time there. I do not know to what extend they would be willing to go, but I would think it would not be much problem for them. They have a selection of custom electronics to (is it aguilar + barts they offer?). For more info of that type, I would go to the official warwick site and visit the forums, they know their **** there :)

wow, got some sweet basses on here, the highlight, for me, would be that jimmy earl stage II...that's just nuts...i've had:

2-NT thumb 6 strings
2-SSII's
1-NT thumb 4
2-bolt neck thumb 5 strings
1-streamer lx 4 string in french violet

as much as i like the streamers, i may not get another because i like spectors for the shape, but i will more than likely end up with a NT thumb 5 string...i can't get away from them, it seems

Just bought this lovely '95 Thumb NT 6 a month ago (attached), was custom ordered by the previous owner with SD pickups and extra body contouring to reduce the weight. Still getting used to the extra string and the fat neck, but it sure does sound ball-tearingly awesome through my ThunderFAcme rig! :bassist:

Was originally intending to replace the Basslines with MECs, as I thought they sounded better, but have now read plenty of other opinions, so don't think I'll bother. Besides, it just sounds so phat as it is! :)

I bought this off the World Wide Wasteland from a store here in Aus. Off a thumb nail at that, and no mention of it coming from the custom shop Their site has categories called "The Good", "The Bad" and "The Ugly" for their used instruments. This was in "The Ugly" amongst some nasty looking japanese guitars:eyebrow:

I understand what you say about the Warwick forum too.

Which store? Sounds a bit like Tym Guitars, but I didn't think he'd touch anything without a retro vibe - which explains the listing...

hey i'll hit up a bank with you - if its for a good cause (GAS of course):ninja:

yea i get all my gear off ebay...never pay full price for a warwick, they aren't worth it to me...but 1400 for my thumb and 1500 for the SSII...that seemed worth it to me:bassist:

I posted this over in the 'Show your Warwick' Thread, but thought I might join the club aswell!! Here she is again :)

I just got this Thumb BO late last week. I bought it from the TB classifieds. It had to make the journey from the US to Australia which I was a bit concerned about. No problems though :)
Great bass. Love the neck, sound, look, feel.... I can't really find anything bad to say about it :)
