Well, the Dean Rhapsody probably hurts me, but all my other basses are passive. The Bettie Page fanfret bass is my primary weapon of choice.

I own three basses, all passive. I don't see that much of an advantage with active. plus, i learned how to play on passive, it's what i have down to a science, and it's what i like. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Hmmm....Maybe if I bought a 44-02 i could change it to Vol/Vol/Tone/Coiltap/Varitone/Dirty rice!!!!!

I have never liked using active basses. I prefer that old school tone you get form a good passive bass. I use a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz, Fender Victor Bailey Signature Acoustic, Steinberger XL-2, Steinberger XT-2, Ibanez Sr200, and a Gitano Acoustic.
