Just FYI your bass isn’t “mint”. Excellent condition, sure. You can’t say mint, then mention tarnish. The two are mutually exclusive.Value for 2005 Pedulla MVP , mint?
I'm looking for some informed advice about what my minty 4-string 2005 Pedulla mpv with original case is worth. There doesn't seem to be many for sale our there, especially 4 string. People must be holding on to them since Mike retired. I'm thinking about selling since I"m going mostly passive these days, though I may regret it. I've listed the specs below. This has had very little playtime by the original owner or me (2nd owner.) Unlike many damaged finishes I've seen, this one is immaculate.
YOu can offer ideas here or by PM.
Here are the specs:
BODY WINGS: AA Flame Maple
COLOR: Amber Sunburst
NECK: Capillary (neck-through), 3 piece maple laminate
SCALE LENGTH: 34 inches
FINGERBOARD: Ebony
NUMBER OF FRETS: 24/24 inlaid white markers
INLAY: Mother of Pearl, 5mm dots
NUT: Bone
TRUSS ROD: Single rod, double-acting adjustable with two stiffening bars
HARDWARE COLOR: Chrome
BRIDGE: Hipshot 3-way adjustable machined brass (there is slight patina from natural aging)
MACHINE HEADS: M.V. Pedulla/Gotoh
STRAP PINS: Gotoh
PICKUPS: PJ made for M.V. Pedulla by Bartolini
ELECTRONICS: Active, Bartolini
CONTROLS: volume, pan, bass boost/cut, treble boost/cut, mid boost/cut (toggle)
CONTROL KNOBS: Anodized aluminum (black with marker)
FINISH: Gloss polyester

It’s beautiful! I wish I were a contender! Yours appears to be as clean as I’d expect anyone is likely to find.Point taken. Then I’d say excellent, or near mint. I didn’t say tarnish but patina very light barely noticeable. Appreciate the feedback
Just throwing this out there.... is there anyone with a pentabuzz or a MVP5 with Black hardware which they really wish was Silver/Chrome? I have a pentabuzz that I love, picked up used, but it has the silver hardware which all works perfectly....but I'm maybe I'm just too demanding....(-Prince). Anyhow...maybe you feel my pain and need the Silver Bling! Let's swap!![]()
Pedulla's don't hold their value well somehow. I'd say something around 2000/2200. If you're lucky.
Pedulla resales do seem a bit lower than what I expected. I've owned 4 or 5 pedullas....and everyone one was an awesome bass. I bought this one straight from Michael Pedulla and it was one of the last basses he ever built....2017 5A exhibition grade Buzz Bass in cherry sunburst. Nicest wood i ever saw from his shop. Dunno if I would ever part with it....but if I do, I hope it commands more than 2000/2200. lol...

Alright Pedulla Buzz (and hexa and penta) players. How low to you place your strings? I waffle back and forth between low, low and higher. Higher when I play my pentabuzz in a band where I don’t want all the mwah. I’m curious how low people keep the action though.
Dexys Midnight Runners! C'mon Eileen!Been a long while since I've posted in here but I was just watching a Conan O'Brien blooper reel on Youtube when I saw this band, and wondered if any of you Pedulla nerds might recognize them.
