Well *I* didn't have gas issues... not until I saw THIS bass anyway!

That is my favorite looking Rapture J5.

Out of curiosity, from center of pick up to center of pick up, what is the measurement?

I've had to do violence on that, sorry!

I've had this bass for a while now and I just love the sound and the playability, the great feeling neck and so on.
But I just could not stand the color.
The finish is great but I'm a hard rock bass player and I can't stand looking like a wimpy jazz player (joke)!

So...I took a brush a bucket of black paint...and did it!

But I just could not stand the color.
The finish is great but I'm a hard rock bass player and I can't stand looking like a wimpy jazz player (joke)!

on another note, my Rapture just got here today...looks and plays awesome as expected. and to answer your question Tom, the pickups look to be about 3.75" apart...so a little wider than 60's spacing.

I don't think I've ever been so sad looking at a refinish. To each their own but a little part of me cries every time I see a pretty top/headstock hidden away, never to be seen again :bawl:
