Anyone know anywhere in Pittsburgh to check a rapture out? I've always been kind of curious to check one out but have only seen one, and it was a 5 string not a 4.

I have an older (1993) 3 knob Thunderbolt with the old vol-pan and passive tone control and Thunderguts circuits. It just doesn't seem to have much tone control. You get a lot out of the pickup pan, but the passive tone control seems lacking. Does anyone know if the new Pedulla circuits with vol - pan and active bass treble make much of an improvement?

I had both, and I greatly preferred the newer ones with the separate bass-treble controls. I just felt like I could dial in what I was looking for more easily. Not sure if that's helpful or not!

Hi, I bought a used Thunderbuzz ET5 and I'm concerned about wear on the fingerboard from the (what appears to be) D'Addario nickel strings. The bass was made in 2000 -- anybody know if Pedulla was coating ebony fretboards then? There appear to be scratches from the strings but no gouges. Thanx.
