Curious how you all set the knobs on your Thunderbasses, and what kind of music you play? I play mostly jazz and worship band, and I had been setting every thing mostly flat (in the middle) with Thunderguts off, but the last week or so I've began experimenting with settings, and would love some ideas.

When I had a 3-knob ThunderBolt 6 I usually ran it with the Thunderguts switch engaged and the tone rolled off to half way or lower. With the neck PU soloed it had a massive P-Bass vibe, and the soloed bridge PU had a beefier take on the Jaco tone.

The Thunder basses have a brighter, more modern sound than Raptures (due to active pickups). I liked mine best with TI Jazz Flats or well-worn nickel rounds. I used it mainly for funky jazz improv stuff.

It is here!!!!

This bass is awesome. It is going to take some getting used to, but it is incredible.

I adjusted the action, and pickup height, then intonated it, and all I have to say is WOW!!!!!

The neck is straight as an arrow, and no fret buzzing...

The P/J combo sound great, the P pickups are meaty... and the jazz is a traditional jazz sound. The sustain is wonderful, and the finish is still perfect...

I got lucky...

Rich red or deep blue would be sweet... But the ultimate would be black with tort red pickgaurd.... yum.
