I love NYT crosswords. I subscribe to the Times online primarily for the puzzles and secondarily for the news & opinions. And only Will Shorts. Don't care for Eugene Maleska. Too esoteric.I never had a clue you like crossword puzzles. I am down with them whenever I come across one.

Because the men sit around and watch TV all the time. How come on TV sitcoms men are always made to look like chubby, bumbling idiots who can't handle the tasks of day-to-day life while the women in their lives take care of everything?

Well I didn't necessarily mean only chubby, as much as I meant inept or disheveled all the time, like Al Bundy. Just that the men are always being saved by their more competent wives. In particular I was referring to King of Queens, but both The Simpsons and Family Guy is have fat idiot husbands.May I have examples? I can only think of a couple that are fat.
Bumbling idiots? Yeah, I guess we gotta cop to that one.
Yeah, cartoons. They could be any level of fitness, but the chubbyness is integral to a lot of the storylines - i.e. laziness and poor health. Lotta heart attack jokes. Lotta overeating and over drinking jokes. Despite the morbidity, it makes for some funny jokes.Well I didn't necessarily mean only chubby, as much as I meant inept or disheveled all the time, like Al Bundy.
