I'm going to have to agree here. You look a little younger than I am (I'm 25) and take it from me, over the past 10 years pretty much every bass I bought I thought I would keep until I die. If you look at my gear list you'll see I've sold most of them and keep buying new ones,slowly but surely, I eventually get over most new basses I buy. Especially with something like a Ric, like someone said, you could really destroy the value. But ultimately it's your decision. As for the color scheme I think it looks cool, I would just be apprehensive about sinking a few hundred dollars into a bass in order to devalue it.
well if you don't care about the resale value go for it...
i personally like the paint scheme a lot! i think it would be even sweeter if you put "Rastabacker" on the headstock or your name in like cursive letters with yellow ink on the green stripe area towards the back of the bass (if that makes sence).
i hope you understood that...that would even give it more of a customized feel...i think.

My opinion is that you shouldn’t do that. Maybe buy a pickguard and paint it rasta to give the bass an original touch, but leave the paint alone. Ricks are highly valued instruments and you don’t know what life may throw at you. In case of an emergency in which you might be forced to sell the bass (I hope that day never comes to you) you will loose hundreds of dollars.

I wouldn't do that unless I was actually a Rasta...otherwise it seems a little bit odd.
I also would not do it to a Rick. Really wouldn't suit that type of guitar, not to mention the fact that it's worth well over a grand in real money (pounds sterling, obviously
) and you'd be killing resale value.
It's your decision obviously but I could just see it becoming one of those "Oh my god what was I thinking back then?!?!" type mistakes - along the line of some of those mutilated 60/70s Fenders you see on eBay every now and again.

Every other thought I might have has been covered, but on your homepage, where it says 'US & A', you might edit that to 'US of A'. 
You could have a sign shop sell you some self-stick vinyl in the appropriate colors, and you could CAREFULLY cut the shape out after laying it out on the bass... that way you get the look, it's durable, and you can remove it if you wish.
Heck, if the vinyl stands up to the elements on work trucks and the like, it will stand up to general playing.

Since you replied to nobody that told you not to do it, I guess you won't take any of my advices but...
You are 15, a jamaican colored bass may be very cool at 15.
There is a general rule that is true for all human beings, even if all teenagers say it's ******** (I used to say so). What you find cool or cool looking at 15 is not what you like at 18, what you like at 18 is not what you like at 25 and so on.
Having a ridiculous paintjob done on an instrument that you'll probably find butt-ugly in 3 years is NOT a good idea especially if it's worth 2000$. And when your whole I like bright colors and over the top flashy stuff phase will pass you won't want to be seen dead with that bass.
This might seem like ******** to you but you'll find that very true in a few years.

Step away from the guitar, take a deep breathe, give yer head a shake, by a Rondo, paint it up and leave that lovely Ricky alone! What did it ever do to you? (tongue firmly planted in cheek)

The pure irony of all this truth, no one at age 15 will believe a word of it. When their brains finally catch up years later, it's too late. Very unfortunate in this case, but there you go.
