Do you have a spare 4-string?![]()
I don't have a spare 4 string but I would seriously consider trading my only 4 string for it...maybe. Seems shipping is an issue though

HmmBut I guess they drop at customs and local post office takes over
![]()
Pretty much. You fill out a customs form at the post and it goes through customs and then is delivered through the postal office in your country. It should be around $150 for a 30 pound package within the package size requirements. Worse case scenario: you remove the neck and send the body and neck separately.
New pic with the best sounding bass I own...
Never mind the messy table in the background!

At least in the US, Postal insurance stops at the border... which makes me kinda shy of cross border postal interactions involving valuable goods.
"Going direct"
Word...
If it was too thick in series, parallel will help, but he was saying "it was too present" right?
That may not help, as that's a little brighter/mid present...
Shoot, I like the bass all up in the mix![]()
BBJ; sure try the other toggle positions.
I like DA EXL 170 nickels, warm yet present.
Funny, the 5L is one of two basses my engineer will allow direct into the console.
The other is my 51 P5.
FWIW, there's a NOS bugeye chrome JJ 'fish on the bay right now, and a white one as well.
This auction surprised me though . . . has anyone ever heard of Reverend making a JJ pickup for a four-stringer??? I've never heard of such a thing.

Yeah, I noticed that pup. The seller is not the original owner and has no idea what he's talking about; at least from his answers to me.
got this from Steve at Reverend,
"Not sure about the pickup. Joe says it could be a prototype like the ones in the BH5, but for a 4-string. He thought he sent them to Brad."
so it's still a mystery
