The Reverend Club (Part 2)

Aside from the 5 Reverends:

1961 King Double Bass
One of several Fender Precision's, Jazz's or Telecaster,
One of many G&L's
Lakland 5501, 5502, HB, Scheff
MM Stingray HH4

I got like 30 basses now. Tough call

Sometimes I'll have a job that calls for a sound; but yeah, sometimes I say "that one ain't been spun around the block for a while," or "that one goes really well with the rig I'm using tonight."

I have the "same problem" with amplification, and there are definately pairing that work really well, and pairings that just really don't...

You can scope my profile for more details.

When I'm not playing a Rumblefish, I play my only other bass.. a Fender Precision with a Jazz neck and a Reverend pickup.
Here's my bass face.. playing too far behind the bridge hurts!

For the old school sounds and classic rock the Reverends are great, though I sometimes also play my Dark Star P bass in that role.

For a more aggressive sound, it's the Sadowskys.

Every once in a while I'll break out the Steinberger or the Ric. The Steinberger has unbelievable tone but the looks are very distracting. The Ric just screams classic rock.

hey y'all started it;)
Fender precision a/e body, all parts "J" neck, Reverend optional 10K ohm P pup.

The only beastlier P pup out there is G&L's MFD split P...

I always bring my Geddy Jazz with a J-retro as a backup. Once in a great while, I'll bring my old 4001 out. My old "main" bass, an ASAT..... I've taken her out maybe 2-3 times in the past 3-4 years....Does absolutely nothing for me anymore. Uncomfortable to play, just doesn't sound right... I should sell her, but she's so pretty!
I probably should change my name since it doesn't fit me anymore!
