Neckwise..bassically! The frets felt huge and rough. And the tone??? Live, it just didn't seem to cut. Although I played the one recording I made with her a few days ago, and she sounded GREAT there.

Looking at your other posts I see that you are new to the bass. How did you hear about Reverend's?

I go away for vacation and - no new posts since 1/6 ? Fine buncha fanatics you guys are ....
OK - so I've been on the fence with my PJ for a while - the MIJ J and Trib L25 getting all the playing time - both of those are Audere'ed, hmmm... so I pulled off the TIJF's and re-strung with SA's. A bit of neck adjust and let it sit while I was off skiiing in UT...
I got home last night and find my new GK 1001 RB II waiting - thanks RMC! - This morning i plug it in and fire up the Rev into Schroeder 21012L -
oh yeah- that's what I liked about that bass ... Rock 'n Freakin' Roll! Not sure if it's the string and maybe the Reverend and it's Aeros just didn't get along with the Navigator pre - what'evah - it sure likes the GK!
(now I'm worried about the J & Tribby and the GK combination - I've got unpacking to do and ski's to tune before I get there though ...)

Yeah GK Mal! So, how much was it with shipping and how fast did it arrive? Was it packaged adequately? I hear good things on here about RMC.

$619 delivered (up from $599). un-boxed, burned in on my request, re-boxed and shipped well packed via Fedex Ground.
This is the second time I've bought from RMC and I can recommend them whole heartedly. The Schroeder/GK setup is killer and the GK is about half the size & weight of my old Nav/2402 in full sized rack setup...
Nice score, Mal!!! GK was my main amp for over 15 years. Good gear for the scratch.
FWIW, here's a pic of my basement during the week we had our floors redone. I had to get all my gear together and stored in the theater. Reverend lovers should have no problem finding my 'fish (in cases) in the picture.

I have not used a pick with my 5, but my PJ sounds amazing. Next time I gig(whenever that may be), I'll try it out.
