Dude: sweet!
I read a lot about those, but couldn't find anyone who'd actually done it that could say:
"yeah, it's loud, clean and phat."

so...is it?

So far it is just that..I need to put it through more than the one cab I have at home right now before I take it very high on the master, but so far loud, clean, and phat it is. Dunno if its just the combination with the Rev or the performance of the KT-88's. Those pristine glowing beautiful bottles are the biggest tubes I've ever had in an amp.

The funny thing is I was wondering during the build if I shouldn't have asked the tech to add an ultra-low/ultra-hi eq circuit like the Ampegs, but I don't regret that now. Absolutely no need.

Lovely wife was complaining that it was shaking her bottom on the chair two floors above. She never complained about that with the RB2001-II, and never with any of my old Ampegs or Fenders.

It's not has heavy, nor as large as an SVT, but it does weight about 60 lbs. Also not sure how durable it will be, But so far, it's making me grin.

60lbs is not bad for 300 watts of tube horsepower. How long was the build time?

If you're comfortable pm'ing me what they charged you, I'd be interested.

Nice! They have bacon-topped maple donuts at Voodoo Donuts in downtown Portland too. They are pretty sweet.

My current favorite bacon is the Niman Ranch Applewood Smoked Uncured bacon. You can get it at Trader Joe's. I've been making some legendary BLTs with it recently. :D

So the Red XL is going. :( Fortunately I have the Lava PJ to ease the pain. :D I'm selling Thumpy, as well:

I've got my eye on a used MB-2. I have a Sadowsky Will Lee on order, so I can't go nuts. The MB-2 is costing me half of what a new one would go for.

Mouses are cool. I wanted one but decided I'd get more gigging use out of an MB-2 due to its 34" scale.

She'll have a good home in New Joisey and will provide me ample distraction from my 5L that is going to South Carolina!

And I promise no Yellow Jackets or Gators clings will ever defile her.

Suppose at this point, with my now 3rd Rev incoming, I should get a #. I had a gold PJ that I sold to BrooklynBassGuy a couple years back but I don't know who has her now.

That makes me feel a lot better. BTW, I grew up in Tenafly before moving to Georgia when I was 7. :)

Suppose at this point, with my now 3rd Rev incoming, I should get a #. I had a gold PJ that I sold to BrooklynBassGuy a couple years back but I don't know who has her now.

IIRC, Chef has a gold PJ. Those are really sweet looking basses. One of my favorite fish colors.

AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO JUMP ON CHEF'S HOUSER!!! (So I can send mine to him). :)

Mine had a rosewood board and the prior owner had changed the J pickup to a DiMarzio Model J. Doing some further sleuthing, I think this one ended up with CraigB. This is one of those proverbial high regret-inducing basses that never should have left.

Following the trail further, it looks like the Moroccan Gold PJ found a home with Chef.

Hopefully I can get it shipped out today . . . Kira made it through the night with no seizures! Woot!! But she's staying home from school today and "helping" in every way she can. :rolleyes:

Gonna be a looooong day.

Seriously, while I can't wait to play her, feel free to ship at your leisure - you've got more important things to deal with that take priority.
