Dee-man:
TI's are too low tension for my taste, but I play hard.
LaBellas, in my opinion, go on P basses.

Expect to do a full setup with any change of strings that aren't same brand/same guage.
Tension will change, saddle height will change, intonation will change.
Full setup.

Thanks guys. I have the TI flats on my fender jazz, so I think I'll give the DA chromes (the SLs) a spin. And thanks for the money back satisfaction guarantee, Chef! :D

Too bad I have to do a full set up. I'm very incompetent with that kinda stuff. Just ask my wife.

Happy halloween, DM

Question - I'm one of those people who prefer black pickup covers over white ones. Will standard Fender covers (bridge and neck or bridge/bridge or neck/neck??) work as a replacement on the Kent Armstrong J's on my incoming Rumblefish XL? Or do I need to stick to Kent Armstrong covers? If so, anyone want to sell me a black cover set or swap for white ones?

Thanks in advance!

Stephen

I might be interested in a swap, if the specs match. We'll need to do some measuring. :)

fwiw:
I believe Bartman's BH5 was indeed the one Bovinehost used to have.
I remember when I first saw that thing; it was the first Reverend I'd ever seen or heard of; way back in the orginal Dudepit forum days...

fwiw:
here's where I first saw this bass...maybe.
I may have seen it over at the orignal Dudepit first, but it's been on my radar for many, many years:

Since we've been talking about string gauge recently.... Has anyone ever put anything between the nut and the string to raise the string a hair? I accidently bought some standard length strings a while back. The only string that doesn't fit is the B on my 5L. I broke a string Saturday night, and see that set sitting there gathering dust...... Any suggestions?

Greetings from the North,

Holy ....! Blink and the whole pond changes. I saw the dorsal fins circling but missed the frenzy lol. Congrats to all those that got a good chomp. :bassist:

Hey Chef can you tell the difference? ;)

Happy Times,
Rezdog

I'll let y'all know on Thursday, if tracking holds steady and the creek don't rise;)

(I love that you start every post with "Greetings from the North!")
ps: I know I've asked, but, who's your avatar?
