Sometimes people forget that Craigslist isn't just local, even though they only wanna deal in the hood...I get the poor, despirate musician needs fast cash thing, but why limit yourself, when there's such a bigger marketplace? Many of these people have no idea about PayPal;it's like another language... :confused:

Joe's Music Quarters in Eastpointe MI

My buddy tried to email on the Nashville fish as well, no response. He called Joe's to get an idea of fixing it and they said they really needed to see it, but if it was just the back and not into the frame about $100

Makes sense. I could see a repair bill easily running up into the $300 range with round trip shipping, etc. Maybe more, depending.

Personally I wouldn't bother with a busted-up Fish unless it was super cheap. Risk-hassle vs Reward 'n all. Just sayin....

Edit: Still, if one was cheap enough, I'd be sorely tempted to send it in for a "Full Metal Jacket" treatment.

Can you say 'tin roof' or 'engine turn'? I thought you could.

I'd send another to Joe's in a heartbeat. The $400 fish is a perfect example. Quick fix would be to replace the back only,
I'd go for a full front & back. As far as I know I got the last piece of Tin Roof :ninja:

I'm back! :) After a 2 year absence, I'm back to the wonderful world of bass. I need to get some old guitar stuff sold and now I'm just sitting here with a pole waiting for another fish to bite...

After a painful waiting period the pedal arrived this AM.
I'll go out on a limb in advising all BH5 owners to BUY THIS PEDAL or the drop in version!! Personally I recommend the pedal for use with all of your toys!
This thing brings the BH5 to LIFE in a big way. Plugged her into the walkabout & immediately knew I made the right choice.
This weekend I'll be using a 5L & BH5 & later today after soundcheck I'll be plugging all my Passive basses up for a
little A & B'ing. I have several basses that just don't cut it live, so I'm looking forward to the possibilities.

what makes you love it so?
my gripe with the BH5-as I'm sure everyone knows-is it's just not shiny enough on top...
does the TS pedal fix that?

(didn't know it came in a pedal...huh...!!!)

Chef,
An immediate improvement in mine & so I thought everyone else's complaint about the BH5. Quickly dialed in a shimmering bright attack & that was just jazz bass mode. Slap & pops and a clear finger style. I have yet to spend quality time but will be checking out all positions & will happily share my thoughts if anyone is interested. The pedal is the way to go!
Off to soundcheck. :smug:
