Not be a buttinski, but would these measurements be a bit different depending on which neck version? I know the two necks felt a little different to me. Just sayin'...

I've had a JJ, XL and PJ. Every neck is different, but I was just trying to get an estimate. I'm having a friend hand shape a neck for me for a P bass build, but my Reverend necks were always the most comfortable right up there with my US Lakland necks.

Last night I took out my Moroccan Gold PJ to a blues/jazz job I had. I ran it thru a Walkabout Scout, and two LDS 2x8's. I had one 2x8+ mid on top and one 2x8+horn, stacked vertical, with the mid-driver on top.
I set the Walkabout input gain so digging in on the bridge pickup started the Walkabout into a little tube drive.
I'd forgotten how freakin' cool a Rev PJ is.
Set pup bias to the P pickup for a nice fat walking tone. Solo the P pickup and roll tone back for warm, round semi acoustic tone.
Set pup bias to the bridge pickup and crank tone open for knarly bridge bark. Roll tone back for a great Jaco tone.
My band mates were like "how come you don't play that more oftne, it's awesome."
I dunno...I've been on the Alleva/Sadowsky trip for a while, but I get that same response whenver I bring out a Reverend...whether it's the 5L, PJ or BH5: "man, bring that more often."
So, Reverend, whatever you do with the new ones, I hope you manage to keep that sonic mojo that is "the old Reverends, " cause that just really works. Keep the neck profiles, cause they feel great.
Move the upper horn button closer to 12th position. That's the only "upgrade" I want. Having it where it is pushes the neck quite a ways left of "normal," and its awkward.

My main bass is my Sadowsky, but whenever I bring out a Reverend I always get the same thing from my bandmates.
And yes, Reverend necks aren't all the same. IIRC, I found the skunk stripe ones felt slightly thinner front-to-back.

Ken brought the new Rick Vito signature guitar to the gig this past weekend. He brought back the teardrop case for this guitar. Since TKL is making them for the guitar again, I wonder if they could whip up one for the bass?
