Am I the only one who snarfed up a couple when Rev blew 'em out for $69?
Personally I dont think they're worth even that, apart fron the kitsch/collector value. They aint exactly "Timex tough", now are they. But then, I think all hard cases are over priced.

Well, they're not good for rugged road use, but I think they look great.
For gigs though, they generally ride in my incase dub bag with whatever else I'm bringing.

We just finished bass and drum tracks for our second cd and the 'fish was the bass of choice for every track, getting the sonic nod over my Fender Roscoe Beck IV and Lakland Jerry Scheff. Our sound engineer loves all my basses but felt that the Rumblefish had a broader, stronger and sweeter sound profile (especially in series) that best suits our alt-country / root-rock / twang-core sound.

the beck i've never had, but i've read stuff about it that made it seem neat.
the 5L has an oddball-ish voice too, but it tracks great.
the PJ is devastating, and the BH5...can't argue with that bass when it comes to tracking stuff.

My guitar player owns around 20 guitars but only brings his two Teles to gigs, along with a Danelectro he has tuned differently and plays on one song. He absolutely refuses to consider selling any of his other guitars to either a) get a better guitar like a Custom Shop Tele or a Sadowsky or a better amp or even something different like a Club King. He would love to have that stuff but absolutely refuses to consider selling anything to fund it. So he has a collection of guitars he never plays, including some that are rare and valuable but sound like ass and thus are not terribly useful.
I used to have a larger collection (10) myself, but sold off a few of the ones I never gigged to get my ultimate #1. I haven't regretted doing that for a minute, other than the fact that my Revs now get less gigging time, which is kind of a shame.

I know how he feels about teles...I own a custom made thinline that has my favorite neck of all! With it's stacked Tom Anderson buckers, it's very versatile with the coil taps. Again, he sounds like myself in terms of cutting the herd...I just let em multiply

They sell those cases at a local music store, just blocks from my work place...

...for a 34" 'Fish and not the BH5, you sold it, right? A while back, one of their sales people brought out the bass version for me to look at, but I didn't have a bass with me for size comparison. A little white shoe polish and you could make your own tuxedo + Reverend decal/or spray stencil...

Yessir, for a 34" PJ-fish.
I sold my mahogany BH5 to snag Bartman's lava BH5 when he flipped it, so I still have that and a BelAir Blue 5L. Both of those came with tuxedo cases...
