Yeah, I've seen these at the local L&M and wondered if they would fit my 5L. I'll have to actually get around to bringing my Rev 5L out to see if it fits. Price is right.

Was at L&M today.
The inside length of the teardrop bass case above is 46-3/4"... which means even my 35" scale BH5 fits by 1/2 an inch!!

Just picked up a the teardrop case from L&M today and the BH5 fits nicely! It took a bit to break in the neck pocket (foam) to fit my bass and could also use a little extra padding around the headstock (sides) and body (front). Just a little FYI... don't expect too much from these cases... kinda budget yet does the job just fine.

thos are nice cases, I have two;

my PJ is in one right now.
personally, I prefer the black.
one is new...first time i ordered it came with a faulty zipper "that went into self repair mode right away,"
the second one came with some bass i bought several years ago, and my alleva LG5 is in it.

You're welcome...I believe it was you who 1st mentioned these some time ago...a little research and I found this source. I like the design, portability aspect and they seem fairly well appointed...thanks!
Wow -- those look kinda like the Sadowsky cases, which are the best I've ever had. Great price too.
Wish they made a double bag like that. My incase dub bag works well (I trust my Revs to it) but is kind of heavy.
Some pics show a neck strap lock, while others don't...that would be a great feature, especially for transit situations...

the protece is not as nice as the sadowsky portabag.
the zippers are a little lighter grade.
the materials are not as sturdy.
it has two handles that velcro together, vs the one on the portabag.
i've had some that came with "neck rests,'' and some without, but not that had a retention strap for the neck

Ahhhh. That would explain why they are so much cheaper.
I do love the Portabag. Best case I've ever had for a bass, hands down. Worth the money if you gig a lot, IMO.
