If it were converted from a former JJ, it would have a big ole washer under the XL switch to keep it from falling thru a potentiometer sized hole.

Very cool - now all we need is an official release date and some official pricing!! :smug::):D:hyper::bassist:

Today, I was offered the burst Dub King prototype from Joe Naylor;

"I am selling the burst one, the orange one is already sold.

I'm asking $999 plus $30 UPS ground shipping (mainland USA only), no case."

Unfortunate news, as I had my eyes on the orange one...we'll pass at this time & inquire about other possible colors, official prices + case options. This buys time to pay bills and aquire more coin. Others have also raved about their experiences playing the new DK!
"...he went by the booth and spent some time playing the Dub King.. called me raving - said it was the nicest action and feel of any bass he had ever played."

Yeah - I wanted that obang beauty as well. I'm in for one, but not the burst. It didn't move me like the orange one. I'll wait a few months and see. A friend of mine is trying to get the line for his music store here, and I will surely get it from him (if he succeeds in becoming a dealer).

I just talked with Ken, at Reverend, about the new basses;
Initially, just two colors & no extra options per bass, just like the current guitar lineup...They'll be shipping by April.

Figure new ones to be more expensive.
Plus the cost of a case.

This really isn't what I imagined when Joe told me "if there are new basses they'll be made off shore at a competitive cost."

Those are more expensive than the new USA's I bought.

Cie la vie.
