From what Ken told me, Joe and him had a deal where each of them would get a share of the prototypes. Ken was going to give his share to his friends, just so he knew where they were going to. Joe is obviously selling his.

Decided to sell my 4-string Rumblefish today, then changed my mind. I might switch back to 4 someday, who knows? And, I get the feeling that in a few years, the old ones might be even more coveted...

NAMM gave us some excitement, something to talk about, now it's back to the same old grind. I'm hoping to get my body project done this year, but just signed 6 years of my life away on a new vehicle. first car payment since 1996, ouch!
Might get to do some recording in the near future, the PJ will certainly be there.

OK, I've never posted a recording or video on TB, largely due to laziness.
But I got a Zoom Q3HD for xmas, and so I brought it to my gig this past weekend. We had a really good gig Friday, so the bar bought us lots of drinks on the next night when I brought the Zoom.
I set up the Q3HD high up on a mount on a wall near the ceiling so it would be out of the way. I didn't realize how much the MGD sign would mess up the contrast, but I've learned that lesson.
The bass in this clip was my Lava PJ, run through a Mesa Carbine M9 set basically flat, into a Bergantino AE410.

That's it for now. It's kind of hard to watch video of gigs -- I keep hearing all the places I messed up and seeing the goofy crap I do on stage.

Cool, Bart! The band sounds solid. Nice playing by you in the pre-choruses, especially. The dance floor is full, so you guys must be doing something right!

I like the M9. It has TONS of power, and between the graphic EQ, the universal tone controls (bass/mid/treble) and the preset voicings, there's pretty much no tone you can't get if you play with it enough. It's not too heavy (<30 lbs.), and I like the footswitch mute and EQ on/off.
I still use my Shuttle 6 for band practice and the occasional gig in a really small bar if the bar has a PA (my M9 is in a rack with our monitor amp), but 90% of the time I'm using the M9.

Sounds great, and both you, and the audience look like you're having fun. However, I would have enjoyed it even more with a spot on the 'fish.

I like the Mesa a lot, but to be honest, it's more amp than I need, both in terms of power and the number of controls. I probably would have been happy with an M6. I do like the compressor too though.
I've liked the Orange amps I've heard. I'd love to hear the tiny terror!

IMO, the graphic eq and compressor are really helpful in controlling the big low end of that amp in some situations.
I didn't need more power than the M6 had, but those two features were worth moving to them M9 for, for me.
