I recent bought a Triad (my first Reverend) and it's really fantastic. It has its own voice: not quite a P, not quite a J, not really a Rickenbacker, not really a StingRay—a unique sound that I really dig.

I got a raymond bass last week and i really like it, except for the middle position. is there a wiring fix for this? it just sounds so muffled and too much volume loss.

There is also a drop in volume in my Mercalli in the centre position but as Ken has explained before in a couple of his FB videos, it's just how the electronics are on Rev's dual pick up basses. I wouldn't say my sound is muffled in the centre position but rather, not just as much bite as there is if I were to roll the blend slightly towards the neck or bridge. What colour of Raymond did you go for? We don't see so many of them round here.

Considering a Reverend for my next bass (Sentinel), does anyone have any experiences with their painted necks they could share? Are they sticky when hot, closer to satin or gloss finish, etc?

I think the Sentinel is a great bass. I just love the tone I get from the centre position through my Mesa rig. It's fun to play and looks cool. No issues at all with the painted neck. Have played a few gigs this year with it and at rehearsals and it isn't sticky etc. I thought it might be but not at all. My other two Revs have satin roasted maple necks and are slinky but I didn't experience any problems in making the transition to painted. Mind you, when I go from the Sentinel to the Mercalli or Decision, they feel so much bigger! Hope that is of some help to you.

Can someone here do me a a favor and measure the diameter of the "circle R" on their Reverend bass headstock.

I am about to order a custom circular water slide decal for a Jazzmaster parts bass. The size and placement of the Reverend logo is probably a close approximation to what I want to accomplish on the headstock of this parts bass. My guess is that "circle R" logo is roughly 1" to 1-1/4" in diameter.

Am I in the ballpark?

Played a couple of the newer Reverand 4 strings today. Gorgeous playing necks on these basses, but why is the nut width so wide?

We like em wide.

For finger style I definitely prefer my stingray (closer string spacing) but for plectrum- Reverend all day and twice on Sunday.

I'm interested in knowing if there'll be any new colors coming for the Fellowship bass:
The tricolor's cool-looking, but a bit much for jazz and theater gigs I do...They're just about impossible to find used, or I'd already have one.

I was all set to buy another company's
take on the p bass; put that off, since now I'm looking, in vain, for a black or white Fellowship (the multi-color scheme wouldn't fly in the orchestra pit!)
I've only seen one still available—in the world!

Man, I love the anniversary Mercalli 5. Sometimes I wish I didn't sell mine, but I have a nice Decision P so I'm still happy.​
