Wonder why they discontinued Raymond after such a short period of time. So little information on the internet as well. I found like only 2-3 demo videos.

Yes, I wonder the same thing. They don't seem to have promoted it very much. It sure is a great bass.
I recorded different versions of the same demo for anyone who is wanting to know what Mercallis sound like in a mix:
Signal chain: Mercalli 5 Bass -> Arturio Minifuse2 -> Macbook Pro 14 -> Garageband
Settings: Mercalli tone 100%. First part of demo is neck pup, middle part is both P and MM blended, third part is MM only.
Demo 1: Blues in B (heavily utilizing the B string) with drums and Fender Strat neck pup.
Demo 2: Blues in B, drums and bass only.
Demo 3: Blues in B, with Fender Strat and Wurlitzer GarageBand software instrument
My thoughts on the tone:
The bass has a dark tone to my ears. But it sits very well in a mix.
I must say, the soloed MM bridge pup was a pleasant surprise. I have never used a soloed bridge pup on any of my prior basses (mostly j basses, and a sire M5). They were too thin for my ears. The MM on the Mercalli is a beast!
The B string is brilliant. For a 34", passive bass, this B string is as good as the uber expensive LEJ I had back in the day.
I'm very impressed with the Mercalli!

So I received info about how many Anniversary Decisions were produced for the 25th event.
Tim at Reverend stated they made 36 in total.
Hold on to that one, one day it will be worth millions$$$$$$$$$$$!

I'm torn between buying a Triad vs a Decision P. Anyone try both and want to share their experience. I'm leaning towards the Decision based on sound samples.
The Triad seems cool but it's the middle position is the sound I really loved from hearing samples.

@PrimitiveMan I don't think there's a wrong answer between the two. I really enjoy my Justice and would like to get a Decision next. The jazz bomb pickups are burly; having three would give you a lot of options. I'm constantly playing with pickup balance and the tone control on my Justice because the range of useful sounds is surprising. The Decision seems more suited to dialing in one great sound… but I'd like to find out for myself.
I've tried both the decision and the triad and I guess the biggest question is if you're looking for a new standard bass or something different. Not to say that the triad couldn't be anybodys main bass but the decision is clearly going after those that want a better fender.

Well was looking at demo models of the Decision P on Sweetwater yesterday and they were $950. Looked again today and they were $850! Not sure why they got lowered but I ordered one in Periwinkle. They have 2 demos of the 25th anniversary version too but the Periwinkle one had barely any marks comparatively and was also the lightest.
That anniversary deal is pretty good.
They have been up for a while, now they are trying to blow them out.

One of the two 25th anniversary models is in much worse shape than the other, seems wrong they are listed at the same price
@MingusBass Are you still digging that Dub King in Avocado Burst? Wondering about your impressions, several months in. Those basses keep calling to me.
Not him but my Dub King is now my main bass. It does it all: Funk, soul, rock, jazz, hip hop, pop... you name it:
It's a great bass but I ended up trading mine towards a Serek The Grand. Best $1,000ish bass I've owned though!
After years of GASing hard for a mercalli 5... the wife finally gave me the go ahead. I've got an orange FM coming to me!
Curious for all the mercalli owners out there, what flatwounds have you found to be a good fit? On my main player (jazz V) I have la bella flats on there that I like. I'd just get another set, but, wanted to see what others have found and loved. For context I play a lot of blues, country, americana, rock, etc. and much prefer the sound and feel of flats, and never liked chromes.
Also with the la bellas, you can't go through body, right? What about just on the B string with the taper?

Nice pickup, and glad to hear you bought it with domestic bliss, or at least approval, on your side. I don't have a Mercalli so I can't answer your first question. But I can answer the second one. I believe LaBella cautions against putting their flats through the body, but lots of people have done it, including me. In my experience it worked fine.
Just saw on Sweetwater they have a set meant for through body bridges.. maybe it's meant to be... why not stick with what I know works? haha
