The Reverend Club (part 8)

This Decision seems like a decent deal but I think a Thundergun might be more my style and I'd be more likely to use the bridge pickup. An old friend also just reached out to ask if I was interested in his '81 L1000 so that might have to take priority.

curious what others with mercalli/thundergun or other similar pickup configurations are using for your sounds. I've found I like about 60/40% favoring the bridge pickup for general stuff... gives me a full tone with a bit of bite from the bridge, similar to how I like to set a jazz bass. I've also found if I solo just the neck pickup it sounds... I dunno... .too beefy? Wolfy? I see a lot of reviews and people say how it gets a really good P tone but, that's not what I think of when I think of a classic P bass tone. If I roll just a bit more towards the neck and keep clarity by having some bridge it gives me a nice warm sound.

so just curious what others are doing, would love to try out some tones I haven't found yet

Just got a Reverend Linh Le signature bass today from Sweetwater!
