I actually really like the Reverend blend lol. My other bass is a Schecter Corsair and the blend knob is atrocious. It almost works as a 2 way switch, either all neck or all bridge. The center detent is useless, it has a huge loss in volume. I reached out to Schecter and they basically said it is what it is. I mistakenly took it back to Guitar Center because of the warranty and the "tech" completely bypassed the preamp and left a few things ungrounded.

Well that sucks. I’ve been thinking about getting a corsair at some point. Have you been liking it otherwise?

I am assuming that we will just see some new colors, although I would love to see a new Joe Naylor design.

I think we’ve already got our new bass colors for the year. I really want a peri-burst triad.

I'd love to see a 5 string with the Decision P pickup.

I have really been enjoying it. I ended up taking to a local luthier. He installed a new blend control and fixed everything that guitar center screwed up. The blend is much better now, but still not as good as the reverend. Sounds great though.

I agree, I love the neck on my Mercalli 5!

Speaking of Mercalli 5. I put the OG pick guard back on. Gives the whole axe a different vibe than with the Pearloid which did not match the pearl blocks. The OG cream pick guard looked really green off the bass, but matches the body binding perfectly.

Glad that everything turned out okay even if you had to go through all that trouble. Do you find the tone more bright and wiry or thumpy?

It really is pretty versatile. I can get pretty bright and defined all the way to dark and thumpy.

well if you ever get sick of those block inlays, I'd kill for a neck like that haha. The roasted maple looks cool on mine, but, bound and blocks is [chef's kiss]

Don’t know if anybody else caught the reverend live stream earlier today but it seems a big motif this year visually will be back painted pickguards like what you’d see on a Gretsch. The example shown was a six gun HPP in chronic blue with a deep sea blue pickguard. It looked very cool.
