Chris, do you have the new Decision and Raymond in stock in midnight black? I'm interested in one or other. Not sure which though and I have no way of trying these out before placing an order. I am loving my Mercalli, so not really looking for something that much different tone wise. I do like the classic styling of black and (roasted) maple and either would no doubt be a great addition to my collection.
 
That's good to hear. I'm thinking of taking the plunge into the passive world.
I have been playing exactly that Mercalli 5 for 2 years through an Eden Traveller w/ Avatar 15" and 12" cabs, and it cuts through really well, while also delivering really strong bass fundamental all the way up the neck (one of the things I like best about the bass.) More powerful P-bass vibe on the neck pickup, and gets growly toward the bridge.
