A Fender bass won't fit in that case. I found this out when I got my latest Rumblefish, #90. It came in a case that was slightly smaller than my other two, and with black plush lining instead of red. In the black plush-lined case, the area that holds the body of the bass is smaller. My P-basses will fit in the red plush-lined cases, but not the black one.I checked the measurements he pictured against my case. They are a little off, but I suppose that could be normal. Ask if he can show a pic with a Fender style bass laying in it.
Is there also a metal bar alongide the wood center "for sustain"? I couldn't sse it in the pics. Also anwers my Q about replacing the neck p/u in a 4 to make a p/j being simple or complicated!
