I think I'll get a grey Dickies work shirt and jacket to put patches on.

I'm pretty big (6'2" 275lbs) too and mine still has some extra length to go!! I wish they were twice as wide though!!

The patches are nice. Pretty big too. Good size for the back of a jacket or such.

My "porch" ain't all that big, but my shoulders are. I wear a 54 sport coat. The straps have a lil leftover on me...
I don't wear my bass "all punk, down by my ankles," but I don't wear it "all jazz, up by my neck" either...

I moved two Peavey 18210's for a long time; but I also played football and wrestled; and was an everyday gym rat for decades.
Did the tae kwon do thing for some years after all that.
It's all mostly me and my new dog mountian biking every day now.
I'm now "back down to my high shcool linebacker weight" of "just 210."
I actually look pretty good in "an empire waist blouse" now

What I got from Reverend.

1 3-position voicing switch: UP=both pickups in parallel, MID=neck pickup alone, DOWN=both pickups in series.

Though a few guys have the middle position as the bridge pup solo.

Mine has the bridge pickup solo, which I think I prefer, as it's already a fair ways from the bridge on the 5L, and has a little more bite than the neck pickup. It might be nice to try the single coil mode both ways (bridge vs. neck) and decide which you like better . . .

My 5L is an early model. They may have made a change at some point on which pickup to solo in single coil mode.

I don't mind the green, I just dont' care for the green with THAT pickguard. A nice pearloid one would give it a more retro look than.......toxic ALIEN look
