I check my Ebay Reverend search every day, and this didn't show up. My search is for Reverend in the Bass section. The seller has this listed in the Guitars/amplifiers/Bass section. Too green for me, though.

I couldn't find an answer to this when searching.....I've always wondered how many basses Joe Naylor made and sold before he quit marketing them. Anyone know? BTW, mines a 4 string JJ, antique white with gold guard and a saaawwweeeeeet(!) tone!

Hey, I have been reading some of the stuff you guys are saying about the Reverends. I just saw my first one the other day at a gig where a bunch of different groups were doing the BransonFest at the Welk Center Theater. Man, I was in love at first sight. Thanks for the cool pics from you all. Awesome! Are these basses 35" scale? I am playing 5 stings these days and need the tighter B string. Thanks for any education give me on these cool basses. I am not only new to Talk Bass, but new to the Reverends.

The 5 string 5L's are 35" scale. I have one, and it's is really AWESOME!!!

Thanks Trevorus! That's great! Is the 5L the one with the single coils? What is the one that has what looks like humbucks? These basses are too cool. Yesterday, I called Reverend about them...they said they are not making any more. That bummed me out. Hope I can find a nice one. Do they play as good as they look? Thanks, man.

If you're ever in Columbia, holler. I have one of each of the Reverend bass line. The one with humbuckers is the Brad Houser signature model.
Playability of a B string has nothing to do with scale length, in my experience. I've had 35's that weren't that good, and 34's that were great.

The more I play different basses the more I agree. Also $$$$ doesn't always buy a great B string

Much thanks to Chef & FL Knifemaker. I guess I have not played enough different 34" scales to experience what you guys know. I think the one I saw the other day must have been a Brad Houser model. For a few minutes, I got to hear the owner pluck a few bars. It sounded terrific! Thanks for the invite, Chef. I am not sure where Columbia is--have to look it up on the map. It is tough for me to get away very far during the season. Playing 2 shows a day--six days a week. Thanks for the "good luck fishing", FL Knifemaker. I am definately trolling for a catch. BTW, is the Brad Houser a 35" Chef? Thanks, guys.

Love the rumblefish!!! Just got to play my buddies yesterday through essentially a B15 loaded with a JBL D130F, and wow!!! how friggin sweet did that sound.........

Like I said, love the rumblefish!!! Really want to check out a Houser 5
