Cool! We played at J.R.'s Bait Shack, on N. Jackson Street. Pretty good crowd of drunk college kids! I live about 65 miles from Athens so I didn't get home until 3am, and I had to be at work at 7:30! :help:

I hear you. I've been mostly playing my Franken-Fender with the Reverend pickup, but when it comes to gigs, I never take anything but Rumblefish! Like I said, makes me wonder why I bother to keep anything else. It just feels right to have a Fender around, I guess.

LOL. I worked for a year at the law firm right next door to that place. I've had a few too many there on several occasions myself. :D

A group of friends of mine used to play there regularly, and my best friend plays a B3. You can imagine how much fun it was toting that beast in and out of there. :eek:

Y'all, the only way yer ever gonna get a DS'd fish is to do it yourself. For the price of a new pickguard and a pup, it would be real easy, and real reversable, a little routing aside...

I'm not sure how it would be "reversable" though, unless you limited it to a single Dark Star and had a new pickguard made. I suppose you could do that, but I'm not inclined to mess with either of my 'fish, so I'd have to buy a new one to get started . . .

A man can dream, though . . .

Yep, that's how I see it...obviously a double DS would be harder to reverse, depending where you put the pups...

It'd be 100% reversable in a Houser;)

Seriously tho, seems like a lot of Rev p/g's are deep enough to support two DS's...

Yeah. It was pretty cool. The thing about it, though, was it was plugged into the NV610, so anything would have sounded awesome. Definitely worth checking out, though.

The orange is an awesome Grunge/Classic Rock amp, but it really can't do anything else.

Could be.

I ain't monkeying with my BH5; it's a killer bass right now. Don't want to touch a thing. My 5L could be a candidate, but I'm pretty happy with the way it plays, too.

Guess I'll just have to buy another Reverend to find out how good a Dark Star would be in there, huh? ;)

I have a 72 Tele bass. I replaced the stock mudbucker with a DS2. It has more than enough clarity and high end to even slap up there, if that's yer style...you can search my name for threads and find it both here, and in the DS forum at the pit...

Here's a total porn shot of my blue Rumblefish, bass #47. Call it "nature's guitar stand" (a big pain to take to gigs!) This was taken by bassmonkeee in his front yard.. I was over there checkin' out his new, way cool Dargie Delight Bongo.
