Sorry, didn't mean to weird you out Matt. I'm not trying to cast a shadow over you BH5 just seriously GASing over here :( . I'm just trying to convince myself that this one is legit but I can't figure it. He hasn't contacted me via email yet.

Hey everyone. I am prepared to get down on my hands and knees and beg for the oppurtunity to overpay for someones reverend. I really dont care about the pickup setup as long as its a four string, and i really would settle for rosewood. I'm a kid whos just discovered the magic of the fish and i'm pretty worried they'll all disapear into chef's basement one way or the other (i still envy your collection everyday chef.) So if anyone on here is thinking about parting with a fish ill pay you handsomely for one.

Just the one in the ad.

I'm wondering if maybe a vindictive girlfriend took it to a music store while he was on tour or something? :eyebrow:

Chef, I'm still planning on dropping in at some point.. it's only a two hour drive, right? :)

I sent the ebay seller I bought the BH5 off of an email about this dilema. No tracking number yet, but I don't think they would screw or scam me because they are a store. What do you guys think? This was his reply:

matt...hello....not to worry!....the bass you got from me came from a very good customer of ours...it is possible that he had listed it on craigs lists right before he brought it to us and not sold it there, thus he brought it to us instead...i can definately tell you that it is not a stolen bass as our customer is a very cool dude with lots of higher end basses...he does travel quite a bit because of his job,so that matches your story about him being out of the country at times...either way,he and i have done a lot of business together in the past and there is no cause for alarm...he is pretty well off and doesn`t need to steal anything from anyone...hope this clears things up a bit...i`ll email you the tracking numbers as soon as i get them(sorry about the confusion with ups today)...either way, they said you should get it by thursday or friday of this coming week...thanks again....henry....
ps...by the way, brad houser was a regular customer at our store in the 80`s...to sell a bass today with his name on it is kinda weird for us...also,his guitar player(wes martin)used to work at our store for years right before they made it big in the 80`s...small world, isn`t it?...

The story is becoming more clear now. He seems like a guy with a lot of disposable income and may lose track of things probably because he can't be bothered about it. I hope you feel better about it mad. Seriously, sorry to cause extra anxiety.:(

I know it's a stretch, but there is a 4 string J/J Rumblefish for sale on the net. The catch is that it is overseas somewhere....the price is 1100 euros. It is navy with a white pickguard. It comes with the Reverend gigbag. How far will you go to get one? It says the page was last modified today 7-21-07 so it should be available. Here is the link:

Have fun. Someone find me a 5L or BH5. Yeah right. Actually I have a 5L that a guy is going to sell me after my SR5 sells. It is white with gold pickguard. I wish I would have spotted that BH5 before it sold, it would have been mine.

someday ill have to chef, but without a drivers liscence or permit, makes it tough. hmm sounds like it could be a potential stop on a road trip, atlanta bass gallery, ct and birdsongs house, disney world and chefs basement and then the lakland factory up by me. tour of bass, and more importantly: disneyland :hiding:

Also: i have found 3, yes Rumblefishies out there in the sea, i will reveal their locations only after i conclude i cannot and do not want to purchase them. Someone want to call dibs on a dark blue/black 5L? At least if i help someone get a fish, ill feel better about not having one myself, and not being a member of this club:crying:

I believe there's a directive from Homeland Security that if you know the location of available Rumblefish, you have an obligation, in the name of public safety, to reveal their locations at once. Lives could be at stake here. :D
