Update: FL Knifemaker has dibs on the rockhide if he wants it, i feel terrible about his deal, i mean he snagged that thing not a minute after it was posted, literally. anyways its the same one that was on ebay and supposedly it is one of a kind, for a hundred bucks more (45 if you count shipping). The 5L is currently promised to Justinbass once my deal is completed. You're second in line if he passes or cannot make the deal

Oh and that should be the official seal of the rev club. Nice job

Thanks! I appreciate it. I still can't recieve Emails, not sure if the ones I'm sending are going out. I have my website guy on it and I'll be call my cable provider in the morning!! :hmm:

If that rockhide one is available, I can send the seller paypal as soon as I know where to send it!!

I love the logo!!!

Blue 5L on ebay, FWIW.

I'd like to introduce myself and say hello. I'm often much too busy to post on forums, but after reading through this thread tonight I had to say hi.

I've owned a number of Reverends over the past few years but, for one reason or another, have sold them all except this one.

Nice reading about all your Reverends tonight. I hope to spend some more time in these parts.

Cheers,

Tim Sarter

Here's one more shot. I was told this was a one off finish when I bought it from Joe. Since then I've seen the same finish in black though. Perhaps he meant in this finish/color combo? Some of you may know more about that than I.

Hi Tim, nice to see you here! I think you bought a couple of Danelectros from me several years ago.
That 5-string Reverend of yours is beautiful, not to mention historic. I remember seeing that bass on Reverend's site and wishing I could pull the trigger. I think that's the "rockhide" top on your bass, and there are two black 4-strings in that finish, one of which originally had a different top. So, there may be only two factory rockhide basses.
I know you've owned a lot of killer basses, so I think we'd all be interested to hear how you think Reverends stack up!

HI Dave,

You have a very good memory. That was several years ago now. Very nice to hear from you after all this time.

While this Rev, or any of the others I've owned, is not my main player I've always had a soft spot for them. I find them very comfortable to play - I particularly like the necks. The bodies are cool as hell too. Their tone is unique, but I sometimes wonder what other pickups would sound like in them. In my reading a few pages back, I recall hearing mention of some alternate pickups someone tried. Any experience with that?

Nice bass there, Tim.

Looks like you've got a piece of history there -- prototype neck and the last bass built!

The Revs I sold in the past included a bug eye 4 string XL, two Lava Swirl Brad Housers, and a lime green 4 string. I'll probably regret selling those some day so I'm planning on holding onto this one. My Bug Eye went to friend here in Santa Rosa. She has many, many Reverend basses and really appreciates them so I'm glad she has it.

Just saw that you were localish. I didn't know the person with 10+ revs was in the bay area. That's cool. Seems like you've seen your fair share of fish. Man, what I would have done to buy one of the Brad Housers you sold.

I also want to see pics of the collection.
