I've got one just like it--it's an actual wood veneer, not faux. it's still a preference thing though. chef has a bh w/ a faux wood finish--different kettle of fish, entirely! I happen to like em all!
Heh.. don't get me wrong.. I'd take one of those veneer-topped 'Fish in a heartbeat! Solid colors are my preference on Rumblefish, but like you said, they're all cool.

I just got the most amazing tone out of my red Rumblefish. Soloed the neck pickup and turned the tone knob all the way down. On the amp (SWR WM15) I turned the bass off, cranked the mids to about 4 o'clock, mid frequency 1 o'clock and treble 2 o'clock. Aural Enhancer at around 10:30am.
It sounded like a distortion pedal. It was equally cool with both pickups on, and with the bridge pickup soloed. Total growl.
Try this out with your 'Fish and see if you don't dig it!

Does anyone know how many R5L's were made? Could you guys come up with your guess as a ballpark estimate....just curious. I have #01295 on it's way here. It is supposed to be here Friday. I have heard that that number is from the year 2000, but it doesn't have the R5L number on it like some of the earliest ones. Does anyone know what number R5L #01295 would be?

Greetings from the North,

I'm on vacation right now and I'm not supposed to be near a computer but..... I was lurking over at HC (bass forum) and 'rikshaw' has a nice Reverend 5L for sale. I saw it in a Muse thread. Gotta go before my wife chops off my fingers... good hunting.....
