For a four banger made out of spare parts at the end of the run? That guy's nuts.
If I had $1,000* to spend, I'd have snapped that thing up by now! Sure, it seems a little pricey for that particular bass, but you know what they say.. it's worth $1,000 if someone will pay it. And, as far as I'm concerned, Rumblefish are priceless.
*Editor's note: I don't have $1,000.![]()
Check with your homeowner's insurance carrier and see if you can add them. One of the standard options on my policy was for up to $5,000 worth of computer equipment, which I don't have. So, I asked them if they'd change it to "musical equipment", and they did.Well I'm more conscious of the replacement factor on these fish today. My house got broken into yesterday while we were at church. Nothing was taken, we think that either the dog scared him off(kinda laughable) or the we noticed on the caller ID that the phone rang at some point, maybe that spooked him. Turned out to be my neighbor's kid who has a history. He was covered in cuts and had glass in his pockets. He was also drunk beyond belief, at the point where they take them to the hospital. They were surprised he could walk and talk. He might not even remember it happened.
So I'm really taking a hard look at insurance and sweating that if these babies ever got taken, I would have a hard time replacing them.
I never saw one with a racing stripe![]()

Congrats! Please get a tort guard for it, so I can live vicariously through you.Looks like the black JJ on Bassgear.com is now mine. Tuxedo case and all.
Through my LMII/Aguilar rig it just plain RAWKS!!!!!!!
is that from one of the last batches of fish produced? I noticed it has the heavier duty bridge like my mahogany topped--my earlier 4 string has a more fender-ish "stamped" type bridge
