FLCL probably had more to do with my final decision to go with Midnite Blue (since turquoise was going to be pretty hard to find) than I'd like to admit. I knew I liked the sound from listening to Mogwai and other bands, but that show was so full of such obvious love for and....creative uses of various instruments that I just HAD to have a Rick at least somewhat like Haruko's.

Actually, it's Azureglo, not Turquoise . It's also a 4001. But i really want a Blueburst bass and stick a FLCL stick right on the pickguard!

lol, I always get the official color names confused. I forget all of them, even Fireglo and Jetglo! I just go blank. Which is just silly. I blame my medications.
I hear ya on the Blueburst. Never seen one in person but the photos are always REALLY gorgeous!

Nice collection Ric5..are any of the 5ers, 4-2-5 conversions or are they all stock? they're all beautiful!!!! I especially like the jetglo 4003s5 w\black pg and trc. I just ordered a black pg for my jetglo 4003 from Pickguardian(wish I could get a trc)..and the jetglo 4004,classic black-n-maple...very nice

It's pretty easy to tell the stock 5s from the converts.

the first 3 were 4003s5 basses ... that is to say they came from the factory with 5 strings ...

I currently have 6 Rics ... only 4 of the above basses are still mine ... and I have a 2030, and a 2020
