Looks like there are a bunch of new Fireglo 4003s at Wildwood Guitars right now. I think I'm going to visit them on July 9 to buy a new case. However while I'm there I wouldn't mind playing some basses, and test-driving them for potential buyers who can't visit because they aren't local. So PM me if you're interested. You can e-mail them to get their prices, they are usually quite competitive.

Hey guys!

So i got my exam (champagne! (but not too much) ), but i'm afraid 4 bangers are not for me, i don't feel at ease on them, i'm used to my 5 string ATK. I will try to find a 4003 to try it, and if i feel comfortable with 4 string, i'll order one. If not, no Rick for me

Love the light blue one.

Also dig the Orange setup. I have the Terror Bass and I love it. It's almost as powerful as my Mesa 400+ and has a great character to it. The fact that I can carry it with my pinky if needed just sweetens the deal.

Had one of the Orange 2x12" cabinets on order, but it was taking extremely long so I ended up cancelling it in favor of buying more basses. There's nothing wrong with my old Mesa 2x15", so I'm sticking with that, but I still kinda want one of those tiny Orange cabinets so I can have a super light yet powerful setup.

Also, the thought of having Ric-O-Sound through a Mesa 400+/2x15" (Neck) and a dirty Orange Terror Bass/4x10" (Bridge) makes me wet just thinking about it.

Ironically I did record that with 0.1 uF cap in-line so that might have cut some lows off, but the hinge frequency seems like it should be below 30 Hz at that value, which would mean no audible effect.

Just stating one of the myths, Josh. THus the ducking.

Yeah, but I should've had the brains to pull the cap since this bass only has the one pickup now.

Hopefully I can share clips soon of the hip hop album that bass was used in/on/for.

Are you referring to bubinga which I believe is a type of rosewood?
